Official Opening of PitStop@Science

November 24, 2022

The PitStop@Science, a multipurpose space for Science students to mingle and relax, was officially launched on 22 August 2022 by Prof Sun Yeneng (Dean of Science), Prof Ho Han Kiat (Dean of Student), and Prof Chng Shu Sin (Vice-Dean Student Life). Staff, students, and Peer Student Supporters (PSS) from the Faculty of Science and colleagues from the Office of Student Affairs joined us in gracing the happy occasion with free ice cream, popcorn, and Kuching puteh! All the Profs also have fun challenging the students with a game of table tennis, foosball, and BishiBashi!

PitStop@Science is a place where students get to chill out with games like air hockey, Nintendo Switch, and enjoy the popular massage chairs. If you need a listening ear or just want to have someone to talk to, we have PSS on duty daily to provide general support to matters related to personal, relationship, academic problems, or adjusting socially to university life. PSS also aids in finding and giving necessary information and exploring solutions to some problems that the students may have.

PitStop@Science operates Mondays to Fridays from 1pm-5pm. We welcome everyone to drop by if you need a break!
