FoS Alumni-Student Networking Evening (21 Oct 2026)

October 27, 2026

Conversations about career possibilities took centre stage at the 14th NUS Science Alumni-Student Networking Evening on 21 October 2026. Organised by the NUS Faculty of Science, the annual gathering connected Science undergraduates with alumni whose professional journeys span a broad range of fields.

Over 300 attendees, including approximately 250 Science students and more than 30 alumni, joined the evening. Alumni working in financial services, research, consulting, pharmaceuticals, sustainability, technology, the public sector and various other industries generously set aside time to share their experiences. Their reflections gave students a closer look at different industries, emerging trends and the opportunities and challenges that have shaped their careers.

Across both networking rooms, students enthusiastically exchanged questions and ideas with alumni in a lively, welcoming atmosphere. Honest accounts of career decisions and lessons learnt helped students discover pathways they might not previously have considered, alongside practical guidance for planning their next steps.

The strong turnout and active participation demonstrated students’ eagerness to learn from those who had once been in their shoes. The evening also celebrated the enduring connections within the NUS Science community, bringing generations of graduates and students together through shared experiences and aspirations.

“Very insightful event from all the alumni members that I have engaged. They provided me with clarity and directed me in the direction to achieve my goals.”
