Distinguished Science Alumni Award

In conjunction with the Faculty’s 70th Anniversary in 1999, the Faculty established the Distinguished Science Alumni Award (DSA Award). It recognises alumni who have distinguished themselves in national leadership, service, research excellence, or betterment and promotion of Science.

Nomination Criteria
In recognition of science alumni who have distinguished themselves in any one of the following:
  • leadership in national science policy
  • service to the community or nation
  • excellence in research
  • dedication to the betterment and promotion of science
Any science alumnus/a of the National University of Singapore (including University of Malaya (Singapore), University of Singapore and Nanyang University) shall be eligible for this award.
Awards will be given annually, provided suitable candidates can be found.
All nominations will be reviewed by an Awards Committee appointed by the Dean, and the decision of the Awards Committee is final.

 

The Award
  • A listing in the roll of honour on the Faculty’s commemorative wall
  • An engraved plaque, wall-mounted at the respective department
  • A citation
  • A crystal trophy
