Freshmen Orientation Projects

Science Freshmen Orientation Projects (FOPs) include camps, events and performances organised by Science Club and the Science academic societies to provide an avenue for freshmen to get to know their ways around NUS, and mingle with fellow freshmen and seniors.

For most freshmen, these activities will be the first of many events that they will be participating in here in NUS Science and so, provide the first insights about academic and student life for a Science student. With a wide diversity of FOPs to cater to everyone’s interests, there is no shortage of opportunities for freshmen to partake in.

Receiving and Giving, or more commonly known as RAG, is an event unique to NUS where we put up a performance to show our gratitude towards the public for having contributed to FLAG!
Each participating body showcases their dance choreography amidst the stunning floats and costumes they have created during the summer to culminate in a performance. Come join us on this journey to create magnificent floats, design beautiful costumes, and perform amazing dance routines, all while making new friends with your fellow freshmen and seniors to put up an unforgettable performance!

NUS Students’ Science Club: Science BASH

Science Bash is the finale event for the Freshman Orientation Programme. 12 contestants will put on a variety of exciting performances throughout the night for the incoming cohort. These twelve outstanding contestants will captivate the crowd with a series of dynamic performances, from striking fashion runway walks to high-energy dance numbers. Throughout the night, they’ll also showcase their unique talents — from soulful singing and witty comedy skits to imaginative cosplay acts and more.
