Academic Support
You may approach your respective Deputy Department Head for guidance in academic matters.
Should a student fail to maintain a minimum CAP of 2.00 in any given semester, the Dean’s Office and respective Department(s) will be informed. The Dean’s Office/Department will contact the student and assist him/her or refer him/her to one of the lecturers in the department. Department(s) can advise the student on study methods, time management and understanding of concepts in subject matters. The department(s) may also refer the student to:
- Counselling and Psychological Services under University Health Centre, if the student needs help emotionally;
- Student Services at Office of Student Affairs, if the student is a foreigner who needs accommodation and other support;
- Office of Financial Services, if the student needs financial assistance;
- Career Services at the Office of Student Affairs, if the student needs information on career prospects.
