Faculty of Science, NUS will jointly organise the inaugural AI for Science Workshop with AI for Science Institute (AISI), Beijing. With great support from the AI community, this workshop aims to explore significant AI advancements and to share and discuss new trends and challenges. Distinguished speakers will be invited to share their perspectives to delve into the future of AI applications for Science.

Tutorials

This workshop training is ideal for students, researchers, and professionals with a strong interest in computational materials science, drug design, molecular simulations, and machine learning (ML) in computational science.

Through the tutorial, participants will gain the following:

Hands-on experience with state-of-the-art AI for Science tools

Skills to bridge classical computational methods with ML techniques

Knowledge to tackle real-world challenges in materials design, drug discovery, etc

Workshop Programme

Prerequisites

Participants should possess a foundational understanding of quantum mechanics, molecular dynamics, or computational chemistry and be eager to explore AI-driven approaches for solving complex problems in materials and biomolecular systems. They should also be familiar with Python and basic programming concepts.

You are required to bring a laptop to the workshops. As there are limited charging points in the venue, please ensure your laptop is charged before attending the workshop. The sessions will include hands-on tutorials on using state-of-the-art AI for Science software tools. This will enable you to actively engage and work directly with the software during the sessions.

Admission is FREE for this in-person event, but seats are limited.
