Mass Spectrometry Laboratory
Contemporary mass spectrometry offers the capability to identify unknown compounds, quantify known materials, characterize structure and properties of molecules. It is applicable to a diverse array of molecules, including carbohydrates, oligonucleotides, polymers and proteins.
Services Available
EI, Cl, FAB and API Analysis - Instrumentation includes Finnigan MAT95XL-T and Micromass VG7035 double focusing mass spectrometer of high resolution.
EI, Cl, ESI, APCl and MS/MS Analysis - Instrumentation includes Finnigan TSQ 7000 triple stage quadrupole mass spectrometer.
ESI, APCl and MSn (n=1 to 10) Analysis - Instrumentation includes Finnigan LCQ quadrapole ion trap mass spectrometer.
Analysis Requests
There are three different forms available for download.
 Form 1 for pure compound analysis
(EI, CI, FAB, ESI, APCI, MS/MS).
Form
2 for GC/MS analysis (EI and CI).
Form
3 is for LC/MS analysis (ESI and APCI).
All requests outside of NUS Department of Chemistry for analysis should be sent
via cmmac@nus.edu.sg.
