File For Graduation/Project
Filing for graduation or project is necessary for a student to graduate or proceed onto Honours respectively.

Students who need to CONVERT their file for graduation/project options for the current semester can do so after the results have been released. Please click on the following link to read more about conversion of file for graduation/project options.
Students who wish to WITHDRAW their filing option may do so via email. The following link explains.

Students who wish to graduate at the end of the semester with a Bachelor's degree. Pharmacy students who intend to graduate at the end of the semester should also file for this option. |

Before Filing for Graduation, Students Should |
1. Check to ensure that they would have satisfied all graduation requirements by the end of the semester (after taking into account modules taken in the current semester); and
2. Check that all majors and minors declared are correct. |
| Eligibility |
Students must have accumulated a minimum of 94 MCs before they can file FFG=Y. |
| General Policy on Conversion of Filing Status |
Students who qualify for and wish to do Honours in the next semester (after the release of the exam results) will have to convert their filing status from FFG=Y to FFG=P during the FFG conversion exercise that takes place after the release of examination results. |
It is the student's responsibility to file for graduation. Please note that if you intend to graduate but do not file for graduation, your graduation may be delayed.

| General Policy on Conversion of Filing Status |
Students will automatically proceed to the next semester to do the Honours project if found eligible after the release of the semester's results.
Students who wish to graduate: (i) after failing to meet the requirements to do the Honours project next semester; and (ii) even though they have met the requirements for Honours must convert their filing status from FFG=P to FFG=Y during the FFG conversion period that takes place after the release of examination results. |

Please ensure that the first major you have declared is the major in which you intend to pursue your Honours. If you change your mind about the choice of your first major after having declared it, you may request for a change by sending an email to scibox6[at]nus.edu.sg. |

| General Policy on Conversion of Filing Status |
Students will automatically proceed to Honours or graduate depending on their results at the end of the semester. No conversion to FFG=P or FFG=Y is required.
However, students who have successfully qualified for Honours but decide not to pursue it must convert their status back to FFG=Y during the FFG conversion period that takes place after the release of examination results. |
Semester 4 AY2008/09's filing for graduation/project (FFG/P) exercise will take place from now till 30 July (Thurs) 2009. Students are to file for the appropriate FFG/P option via email. The email should be sent to
sciffg@nus.edu.sg by 30 July 2009. Please indicate your name, matric number, filing option and semester in which you are filing for graduation/project.
A brief explanation of the different filing options are shown in the table below. For more information on the different filing options, please refer to the section on "FFG Options" found above.

Additional Notes on Filing for Project and the Honours Project

With effect from Semester 2, AY2004/05, all students matriculated in and after 2002 who qualify for honours will carry out their projects over two semesters instead of one (please refer to
Notices on Curriculum Matters for more details). Therefore, students intending to complete their honours degree by Semester 2, AY2009/10 should file for project in Semester 2, AY2008/09.
