Current Students
In order to complete the programme in a timely manner, students are advised to follow the various study plans closely:
For Student Cohorts of AY2004/2005 and AY2005/2006
All students in the Computational Biology Programme are required to complete the four-year honours programme requirements as set out here. There is no allowance in the programme for students to exit after three years with a general Bachelor of Science Degree.
Filing for Graduation
Students should file for 'honours graduation' (FFG=H) via CORS (Centralized Online Registration System) in their last semester of study. Before filing, the onus is on the students to ensure that all necessary modules required for graduation, including the compulsory one-year honours project, are fulfilled. Degree Classification As the Computational Biology Programme is a strict four-year programme, the following classifications will apply:
Students are NOT required to file for project (via CORS) in the semester before they embark on their honours project. Instead registration for Honours Project will be done through the Science Dean's Office. Details on the honours project registration will be emailed to students enrolled in the programme.
Honours Project Supervisors The list of staff members with whom Computational Biology students may do their project are as follows:
Department of Biological Sciences
Department of Mathematics
Department of Pharmacy
Department of Physics
Department of Statistics & Applied Probability
For Students who began in Semester 1 AY2009/10

Admissions by B.Sc. (Hons.) Computational Biology students to this concurrent programme
Faculty of Science students in B.Sc. (Hons.) Computational Biology programme are eligible to apply for admission to this concurrent degree programme at any time during their study if they meet the following criteria:
(i) (i) A CAP of at least 4.00; (ii) (ii) Must have read the following Computer Science related modules on top of the B.Sc. (Computational Biology) degree requirements - CS2100 Computer Organisation, CS2102 Database Systems and CS3230 Design and Analysis of Algorithms.
Faculty of Science Computational Biology students who join this concurrent degree programme will graduate with a Bachelor of Science (Computational Biology) Honours degree from NUS and a Scientiae Magister in Computer Science (Computational Biology) degree from the
The objective of establishing such a special admission criteria is to ensure that students entering the Scientiae Magister in Computer Science - Computational Biology track offered at Brown University have sufficient computer science background.
Admission application will be considered by the Joint Committee of this Concurrent programme. The Joint Committee reserves the right to adjust the special admission criteria to ensure the readiness of students in admitting to the Scientiae Magister in Computer Science - Computational Biology track.
