Registration Information for Freshmen AY09/10
Welcome Note A very warm welcome to all new Science & Pharmacy undergraduates! You have made the right choice by coming to the Faculty of Science, NUS. Our Faculty has a wide range of academic and overseas exposure programmes to equip our students for the ever-changing world out there. We also have a team of dedicated and established professors awaiting you to engage with. We look forward to welcoming you to our Faculty!
Below are some important information to ensure a smooth transition for you:
Freshmen Welcome Tea 2009 We have lined up a series of briefings for all new students to induct them into the Faculty. The Freshmen Briefing will take place on 24 July 2009, from 9am to 5.00pm at the Lim Seng Tjoe Lecture Theatre (LT 27).
Students will be introduced to the various faculty and department academic staff, major and minor programmes available, degree requirements and introduction to modules bidding system (CORS). In addition, important faculty- and course-specific information will also be disseminated during this briefing.
All freshmen are strongly encouraged to these talks as they will give you a better understanding of the Science curriculum as well as your degree requirements.
Dean's Welcome Tea 2009 The Dean of Science, Professor Andrew Wee, will be hosting the Dean's Welcome Tea on 6 August 2009, 4pm - 6pm to welcome all returning students. During this event, we will also recognise our undergraduates by handing out academic awards, undergraduate research awards. All new undergraduates are also cordially invited to attend this tea session.
