Professional Counselling Services
Counselling & Psychological Services (CPS), formerly known as Counselling Centre, became a division of the University Health Centre (UHC) in January 2006. Although CPS's services have expanded to meet the University's needs in recent years, its aim to enhance the psychosocial well-being of NUS students has not changed.
One of its core services is assessing students with emotional concerns (such as relationship problems, academic concerns, depression, anxiety, grieve and bereavement, and addictive behaviours or eating disorder), and developing individualised plans to address students' unique needs. Treatment plans may include short-term individual, couple, and/or group counselling at CPS, medical consultations at the Health Service, and referrals to other long term and more specialised services off-campus.
CPS is located at Level 2 of the University Health Centre, which is situated next to the NUS Staff Club. Students in need of professional counseling services may contact the CPS for an appointment. The contact information is available here.
