Faculty of Science
The Faculty aims to groom a group of Science students who are committed to support the Science Dean’s Office in promoting the Faculty and its programmes to attract prospective students to study Science at NUS through the following events:
- NUS Open Day and Faculty of Science Open House events;
- Higher Educational and Career Fairs at schools;
- School visits and workshops on-campus.
Through these events and networking opportunities, students can sharpen their communication, interpersonal and leadership skill sets, as well as gain valuable experience in public relations and community outreach.
The Science Student Ambassadors recruitment process typically begins in the second half of the year and shortlisted students are invited to apply. Candidates attend an interview and the outcome will be made known to them before the end of the year.
Hear from our Student Ambassadors...
Being an Ambassador is an excellent opportunity to contribute to our Faculty. Our knowledge of the academic system and its flexibility in allowing us to design our own learning pathways serve as good examples for fellow juniors in planning their own learning journeys. It is truly endearing to ensure the continuity of such meaningful sharing with future students.
