Cleaning up the plastic making process

 

The Straits Times reported on a novel artificial photosynthesis device that could produce ethylene, using only sunlight, water and carbon dioxide.  The prototype device developed by a team of researchers led by Prof Jason YEO Boon Siang from the Department of Chemistry provides a more eco-friendly and sustainable alternative to the current method of ethylene production.
