Science Alumni Singles Night 2016
The Alumni Singles Night held on 16 September was the third run of the annual event, which is co-sponsored by the Social Development Network and supported by the NUS Office of Alumni Relations. This year’s event drew more than 80 Science alumni for a social evening of interactive games and merriment.
Held at the Shaw Foundation Alumni House for the first time, this was a significant homecoming opportunity for our alumni to visit Asia Pacific’s first purpose-built alumni centre that serves as a hub for alumni bonding and networking.
Prof CHAN Woon Khiong, the Faculty’s Director of Alumni Relations, welcomed the participants and shared the various upcoming activities organised by OAR. The evening started off with a cocktail networking session at a mobile bar station. The participants first interacted with one another over romance-themed cocktails that were provided free-flow for two hours.
They then had more opportunities to widen their social circle through a series of fun and interactive games hosted by the emcee. The participants continued to mingle over a sumptuous buffet dinner.
The participants found the event enjoyable. One of them, Mr LOH said, “The event was well-organised with an appropriate number of attendees. There was a lot of interaction time and we made quite a few new friends in just one evening.”
