Application Information for PhD and MSc by Research Programmes

·       15 November of the previous year (for August intake)

·       15 May of the previous year (for January intake)

·       S$50 (inclusive of GST) for each application

·       Application fee is non-refundable

·       All applicants should apply online via the Graduate Admission System.

·       Applicants should browse the User Guide before applying.

·       All supporting documents must be uploaded (in pdf format) by the application closing date. English translations should accompany supporting documents that are not in English.

·      In addition to the above, your application will not be complete without the receipt of 2 Referee Reports, which your referees will submit online. Please indicate their email contacts accurately when associating the referees with your application.

·       No changes are allowed once the application is submitted.

·       Singapore NRIC (for Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents)

·       Employment Pass (if applicable)

·       Passport information page (for International applicants)

·       University transcript

·       Degree certificate

·       Valid TOEFL/IELTS/GRE score

·       Publications or abstract

·       Research proposal (for Department of Chemistry applicants)

·       Personal statement (for Department of Biological Sciences and Department of Physics applicants)

·       Financial document eg. bank statement / recent payslip / original sponsor’s letter (applicable for self-financing applicants)

·       August intake: by 31 May

·       January intake: by 31 October of the previous year
