The awards are Faculty Teaching Excellence Award The Faculty Teaching Excellence Award (FTEA) is to honour the top 10% teaching staff whose outstanding abilities and efforts in teaching are recognized and endorsed by the Faculty. Award winners are staff members selected based on peer review, qualitative and quantitative student feedback during the preceding year. Faculty Teaching Excellence Award (FTEA) Honour Roll The Faculty gives recognition to staff who has contributed significantly to the teaching community of the Faculty in the preceding three consecutive academic years. Honour Roll (HR) Excellent Young Teacher Award The Faculty has established an Excellent Young Teacher Award (EYTA). This award will be given to one of the FTEA winners that satisfies the criteria below. This award serves to recognize outstanding young staff who has demonstrated excellence in teaching. Excellent Young Teacher Award (EYTA) Outstanding Teaching Assistant Award The Outstanding Teaching Assistant Award serves to recognize Teaching Assistants in the Faculty of Science who have demonstrated excellence in teaching during the preceding academic year. Outstanding Teaching Assistant Award (Full Time/Part Time) (TAA) Outstanding Teaching Support Award The Outstanding Teaching Support Award serves to honour teaching support staff in the Faculty of Science who have demonstrated excellence in their work, and made a significant impact in the undergraduate education in the Faculty. Outstanding Teaching Support Award (TSA) Outstanding Scientist Award The Outstanding Scientist Award (OSA) is awarded to researchers based on their impact and strong research track record in their area of expertise. The successful researcher must have consistently achieved peaks of research excellence independently over a period of time five years and should be recognized by the scientific community as having achieved significant breakthroughs or outstanding accomplishments in his/her field. Outstanding Scientist Award (OSA) Young Scientist Award The FoS Young Scientist Award (YSA) is conferred to researchers below 40 years of age based on the potential impact in their respective areas of research. This research work should have been carried out independently by the nominee at the Faculty of Science, NUS. Young Scientist Award (YSA) Outstanding Science Entrepreneur Award The Outstanding Science Entrepreneur Award OSEA is awarded to researchers based on their impact or evidence of impact made to the society, technology, industry to raise the profile of the Faculty of Science and NUS over the period of time five years. Outstanding Science Entrepreneur Award (OSEA) Outstanding Service Award The Outstanding Service Award (OSA) recognizes Administrative and Professional as well as Management Support staff in the Faculty of Science who have performed and or delivered services in an outstanding and exemplary manner, reflecting superior commitment to their work and their peers.
