I enjoyed my time as a student in the Science Faculty. If I could start all over again, I would still make the same choice without regrets. I am thankful to the inspiring lecturers, particularly those from Special Programmes in Science (SPS), who opened my eyes to the world out there. The SPS equipped me with the essentials required for my PhD in Cambridge, UK. The ability to research into different disciplines such as biology, economics and physics was seeded during the days of SPS.

The Faculty has contributed to the growth of multi-disciplinary scientific skills and leadership, which propelled me towards great achievements in my career as a research scientist and entrepreneur.

As the hard sciences are central to the knowledge-based economy and enterprise that Singapore is heading towards, the value of a Science education will provide new and challenging opportunities for the younger generation. I strongly urge those with the spirit of curiosity, innovation and entrprise to join the Science Faculty and pursue their dreams.
