Prasad KANNEGANTI PhD 1989
Quality Operations Director/Team Leader, Pfizer
Prasad KANNEGANTI completed PhD programme in Pharmacy from NUS in 1989 and
subsequently carried out post-doctoral work at West Virginia University under an
international exchange fellowship. He has about 20 research publications in peer-reviewed international journals / books and over 20 years of experience in manufacturing, quality Operations, technical support and regulatory compliance
with leading multinationals such as GlaxoSmithKline, Aventis, Wyeth and Pfizer.
Dr Prasad was admitted by Council in January 2003 as a Fellow of the Royal
Society of Chemistry. He was appointed Associate Professor (Adjunct) of
Pharmaceutics and Member of the Faculty of Science Advisory Committee, NUS and
nominated by the Minister of Health as a Member of the Quality Control Advisory
Committee. Currently, he is the Quality Operations Director/Team Leader at the
Pfizer active pharmaceutical ingredients plant in Singapore.
"The Latin phrase 'Multum Non Multa' means 'Quality not Quantity'. We are
seeing increasing use of data driven and science-based tools for quality
management in pharmaceutical manufacturing. My education in pharmaceutical
sciences has provided me the necessary depth of understanding and is proving to
be an invaluable asset to build my career."
